EDITORIAL: The year for Conservatism

CONSERVATIVES ALL ACROSS THE WORLD ARE FEELING GREAT. With recent victories in the UK and a possible one in Australia, this year is looking good for Center-right Conservatives. Even lesser-known countries experienced a Conservative spread such as the Chilean Presidential Victory, the Hungarian Premiership, and many others. This year, left-wing incumbents can expect a swing against their policies that are hurting their nation’s respective economies and attributing to an international mess.

Socialism is not the answer to solve a global economic crisis. Creating surpluses, Defeating Debt, and giving each nation’s citizens an opportunity is the key to ending this crisis and pushing for a better, more productive world. That is not a Socialist/Left-wing View, that is a Center-right Conservative view.

Modernization is also playing a threat as social issues and policies by left-wing politics endangers the heart and soul of a nation. We must take control of it, cease the slop and clean up the mess.

I am in the United States of America. We have a fringe left-wing President and a corrupt and inadequate Democratic Party-controlled Congress. Several reports show the Center-right Conservative GOP/Republican Party gaining back the House of Representatives currently led by Democrats and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). According to Real Clear Politics, the current Democratic Congress enjoys an average 20% approval rating. The Senate is also currently in play as the GOP may gain up to 5 seats, and up to 10 if they fight even harder. Political analysts say the House will now go to the GOP by gained 30-70 seats. Prominent analyst Charlie Cook (creator of the Cook PVIs for each House district) told the Wall Street Journal, the GOP can gain 35-45 seats in the House – thus taking away Mrs. Pelosi’s Speakership away along with their previous majority, that they’ve been mishandling since 2007. 53 Democratic House Members are currently in seats previously held by the GOP – making it harder for them to keep their seats. But – they’ve been playing ball with Mrs Pelosi and the Obama Administration. In these conservative districts, that’s a no-no thanks to the Tea Party Movement and Pres. Obama’s approval ratings – which stand at a 45% approval and 49% disapproval.

Just a note- the Speaker of the House is 3rd in line to the Presidency in our presidential system. The House of Reps is the lower house, but the US Senate is usually regarded as the more prominent legislature.

Globally, I predict Conservatives making a comeback as they defeat left-wingers all over the world. I wish Tony Abbott in Australia the best of luck and hope that he can form the next government. If you look at the results, Labor PM Julia Gillard has lost her majority and mandate to govern. It is time for bad government and bad politics to cease immediately.
