TITULIA CITY (TC) | Incoming RNC Leader Luxis Avaram (R-GOP)’s opposition to incumbent RNC Leader JP9893 (R-GOP)’s Branch Foundation Plan has caused a vote to repeal it in the 1st RNC Council meeting this Saturday after elections. However, JP – a Councilmember himself and People’s Militia Council Member OwenMerry are likely to support the plan that will transfer RNC Members between branches for T$20 each to make most – not all – RNC branches founded. The most unusual case is the highly inactive unfounded Republican Nationalists branch – that has more members than the founded GOP Branch.
A possible contender for the Council Presidency – Former RNC Chairman JI981993 (R-Con) has said he will use his RNC Council vote to vote for repeal after a meeting with Mr. Avaram.
Mr. JP is permitted an extra vote in the case of a tie, which is likely if Owen does not show up.
The only way to repeal this plan now is to get JP to change his mind or force the Council to declare Avaram party leader a week earlier than expected and impeach RNC Leader JP9893 before his planned resignation.
Outgoing RNC Council Member Julian (R-Con) has said he also opposes the Branch Foundation Plan. He said he is also considering holding the vote before Friday or Saturday, thus allowing the current lame-duck session RNC Council to vote on it.
Mr. Avaram may persuade JP to change his mind as he is set to open the Council Session with an expected speech detailing his reforms. Most of his reforms are likely to pass – including a reduction of the Council’s own powers.
The Council will also vote on whether to support Pres. Buchanan’s government, meaning the RNC may or may not withdraw support for the government and block its legislation.
TC Poll on Branch Foundation Plan:
| Support | Oppose | No Opinion | ||
| TC-TC Adv | 10/5 | 46.0% | 47.1% | 1.1% |
The margin of error is +/- 4.5%.
