TITULIA CITY (TC-TNC) | President Dennis McVicker submitted a lengthy budget totaling T$9800.00
The new Executive Budget includes positions not in the previous government budgets such as Manager of the Housing Office and Presidential Advisors.
Former Pres. Reformer (SDP) will receive a government pay, as well as Election Opponent Will Wilbeforce.
The Commerce Department has received a large fund of T$2,000 – it is yet to be announced what the Commerce Department will be using these funds on.
The Titulia Post has seen a massive cut due to the new site not being able to publish posts.
Post EIC JP9893 (R-GOP) will only receive a pay of T$ 100 compared to his previous T$200-400 payrolls and will receive the same pay as the other Editors.

Fact: This position was advertised and budgeted for under the previous government. The position was never filled due to lack of interest, so the funds remained in the Treasury.

Fact: The Department of Commerce was budgeted - to the tollar - in the previous government's term. These funds were directed to funding the Government's rental program for tenancies applied for and managed by the Titulia Office of Housing.
As with the position that manages the Office, the lack of interest made disbursement of these funds unnecessary, they were not acquitted and remained in the Treasury.

Explanation: This was an inevitable cut due to citizens not using the Titulia Post and it's progressive declines in usage over the past terms since transition.
Effectively, the role of the EIC is no different to the editors. There has been long-running cross-partisan consensus that the software that binds the positions to perform the function of Titulia Post editor is the only thing standing in the way of centralising both EIC and Editor.
Therefore there is no administrative or fiscal reason why the pay scales should be different, as no one function can be performed by one and not the other.
Overall: The cuts were reflective of the need for the Government to make greater investments in Titulia and across all areas. Salaries are the price Government pays to recruit talent in their respective portfolios and responsibilities and without it, it would not attract or incentivise such talents to come forward and serve.
However the Government is also ensuring that the maximum amount of tollars possible can be spent on the Republic and these cuts are reflective of that.
